We woke up a little late for our third day. We can't take a dip na din kasi the beach was still on low tide, kaya after maximizing the buffet breakfast again, we left for Cebu na.

We did not have any solid plans for the trip kaya I'm glad that when I contacted Kuya Arnel (same kuya who drove us on my previous visit to Cebu) that same morning, he was more than willing to drive us around the city at such a short notice and charged us only PhP1,500. I think that's already a bargain kasi I was calculating, kapag nag taxi kami around the city, we will still end up paying around that amount.

He fetched us from Pier 4, then we dropped by Fort San Pedro since malapit lang 'yun doon.

Then of course, Magellan's Cross, no trip to Cebu would be complete without it.

We dropped by SM City Cebu para mag boy watching ng very quick. hehehe! We then headed to the Taoist Temple, where we got to goof around a bit.

After dinner, we had to head off to the airport. And I was glad na din that I get to see Kuya Yan for 5 minutes before we checked in.

Double Trouble in Bohol (Day 2)

We were off to an early start kasi nga instead of just taking a nap, we ended up sleeping the entire afternoon until dawn.

Now this looks like a setting sun, but it's really just rising

Since we were not able to have dinner, na-maximize talaga namin ang free buffet breakfast that was included with our room accommodation.

After returning 4 times to the buffet table (hahaha!), the beach was still on it's all time low, we decided to walk to Bohol Beach Club. One of the reasons why I opted for Dumaluan Beach is because it's located just besides BBC, and I was thinking of spending the day there. They have their day tour pass at PhP500 (PhP350 of which is consumable on food).

After a day of sunbathing, at dahil tapos nang mag 2-piece, pwede nang bumawi ng lafang. I'm a sucker for turon and I really wanted to try Amorita Resort's Turon de Bohol, but since we were not able to find the resort, sa restaurant na lang kami ng Dumaluan nag food trip.

I personally love yung seafood pasta nila. I ordered it when we had our late lunch (see photo above) and I ordered it again for dinner (photo below). I forgot what it's called pero may something na "Mrs." sya. Hay naku, me and my very limited edition memory.

We were lucky kasi there was this big group na doon din sa Dumaluan nag stay when we were there, and they have Mr. Rey Valera with them. They asked him to sing a song or two after they had dinner. It ended up na parang mini-concert nya, he sang 6 songs ata. Gravity! Ang galing galing nya!

We decided to chill on the shore after dinner. You can still hear the live band in the background plus the sound of the sea crashing on the shore, kaya feel na feel ko ang pag higa doon sa beach bed under the tree.

Double Trouble in Bohol (Day 1)

26 January 2012: First getaway for the year, and I'm going back to Bohol!Ü

The original plan: Go with Gigel, to celebrate Kuya Yanyan's birthday at Cebu, then go for a side trip to Bohol since she hasn't been there yet.

Ang ending: Went with Bro to Bohol, then went on a side trip to Cebu, since he hasn't been there yet.

This was one of those best chillax trips I've ever had. All I did was sleep, chill on the beach, eat. Sounds perfect to me.Ü 

Welcome to Tagbilaran Airport!

From the airport, we were fetched by Kuya Dodong (same driver we hired on my second visit to Bohol last year) and went ahead with our countryside tour. I decided to contact Kuya Dodong ulit kasi last year, he agreed to tour us for just PhP1,500 and that is absolutely the cheapest Bohol countryside tour one could find. This time, he charged us PhP1,800 including our transfer to Panglao.

First stop was the Sandugo Monument, according to Wiki: The Sandugo was a blood compact, performed in the island of Bohol in the Philippines, between the Spanish explorer Miguel López de Legazpi and Datu Sikatuna the chieftain of Bohol on March 16, 1565, to seal their friendship as part of the tribal tradition. This is considered as the first treaty of friendship between the Spaniards and Filipinos.

Then we were off to Carmen to see the Hills. We passed by Baclayon Church along the way, but we decided not to drop by anymore because it looks like there was an ongoing activity during that time. We bought drinks from one of the stores along the highway, since it will be another 30 to 40 minutes before we reach the hills.

Finally, the ever famous Chocolate Hills! Not as brown as the first time I saw it, but still as amazing as ever!

And I just realized that I did not upload a photo with the hills, I'll just update this next time. hehehe! Now on our way back, we dropped by the Tarsier Conservatory Area:

 I was kinda disappointed that we didn't get the chance to go near the tarsier anymore, unlike before that I was able to have my picture taken like 5 inches away from them. But if it's for the safety of the tarsiers that they are doing this, then I'm fine with being disappointed.

So that concludes our countryside tour. Normally, the countryside tour also includes lunch at the Loboc River, the Loboc hanging bridge, the Butterfly Garden, and Prony the python, but we opted to skip them instead.

* We did not have lunch at the Loboc River because we were already full when we got there (salamat sa tinapay from Dough Joe, hehehe!). We didn't cross the hanging bridge as well kasi I was expecting Bro on one end of the bridge shaking it while I'm crossing it. As for the Butterfly Garden, we opted not to drop by na lang kasi baka hindi naman mag-pose yung mga butterflies with us (chos lang!). And we also skipped Prony kasi we're really not interested with snakes, plus ayaw naming maging ulam niya, hehehe!Ü

From Tagbilaran, we were then escorted to our crib for the night, Dumaluan Beach Resort in Panglao. We stayed at their Standard Aircon Room for PhP 1,300.

We were not able to explore the beach when got there because we were too exhausted (Bro and I came straight from our shifts) so we decided to take a nap, but ended up waking up the next day already. hehehe!

Ang Paglalakbay sa Isla del Fuego

After letting Toodles and Bessy experience a little part of Bacolod, we headed back to Kima's to doze off for a couple of hours. We had to wake up at 3AM, so we can make it to the 4AM bus from Bacolod to Dumaguete (via Ceres Liner, fare around PhP230). Now this bus ride is one very exhausting road trip. Kung sino man ang nagsabi nang "It's not the destination, it's the journey", pwes, hindi pa nya naexperience ang maupo sa bus ng almost 7 hours. Haggardo!

After the road trip, water trip naman, we boarded the MV Jaylann 2. From Dumaguete to Siquijor, the ferry normally takes 50 minutes to 1 hour (fare is PhP180).

From Manila, Siquijor is easily accessible via Dumaguete airport. From the airport, a tricycle ride should take you to the port, it's just around 2-3 kilometers away and would cost around PhP20-30. I do not recommend cabs because they would charge PhP100-150.
